The Ukrainian government is prepared to open its files to U.S. authorities investigating President Donald Trump's recently indicted former campaign manager, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has said.

He stated this in an exclusive interview with Canada's CBC News television channel.

"We haven't received any requests for information in this regard, but if we receive a request we will, of course, provide the information we have," the channel quoted Groysman as saying.

At the same time, Groysman recalled that Manafort cooperated with the Ukrainian government under former President Viktor Yanukovych, who left the country and fled to Russia during the 2014 Revolution of Dignity.

"My government and our term in office have absolutely no relations to this scandal," Groysman said.

On October 28, Groysman began his official visit to Canada, where he met with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, the speakers of both chambers of parliament, and took part in a joint meeting of the standing committees for defense and international relations and other representatives of the Canadian authorities.
