"Having launched the healthcare reform, the Verkhovna Rada has made another important step - the draft law on improving the availability and quality of medical care in rural areas has been adopted in the first reading," Poroshenko said.

The Head of State emphasized that the given law "provides opportunities for ensuring high-quality and available primary health care for rural residents".

According to him, the law already has a financial resource. "The state budget for 2017 already provides for the allocation of 4 billion hryvnias for the upgrade of rural medicine. Rural residents must feel changes for the better already this year," Petro Poroshenko noted.
