Speaker Parubiy calls for Justice Committee to consider bills on abolition of MP immunity

Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy has instructed the Committee on Legal Policy and Justice to urgently consider bills on the abolition of parliamentary immunity.
The speaker stated this during today’s meeting of the Agenda-Setting Council in Parliament, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
"I’m ordering the Committee on Justice to consider the bills on the abolition of immunity, which have been submitted to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine," the speaker said.
According to him, the Verkhovna Rada registered the bill at the initiative of 150 MPs, as well as the bill submitted by President Petro Poroshenko. None of them has been considered by the committee so far.
