The Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people is taking steps to support Crimeans who stayed on the territory of the peninsula annexed by Russia.
Head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, MP of Ukraine Refat Chubarov stated this, Krym.Realii portal informed.
"We are grateful to all Crimean Tatars for participation in preserving the dignity and unity of the Crimean Tatar people. We know that people unite in order to help children and assist lawyers. The number of children whose fathers were deprived of liberty has reached hundreds. Every day more and more lawyers are needed, it is necessary to find resources in order to ensure visits to places where Crimean Tatars are judged, and this is not only in Crimea, but also in the territory of neighboring Russia," Chubarov said.
He has added that this assistance will be continued.
