Ukraine demands Hungary cancel rally ‘Self-determination for Zakarpattia region’

The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine has sent a note of protest to Hungary with a demand to cancel the rally “Self-determination for Zakarpattia region”, scheduled for October 13.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin wrote this on Twitter.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Hungary informed our Embassy about the rally under the slogan ‘Self-determination for Zakarpattia’ to take place on October 13. Does Budapest support separatism?" Klimkin wrote.

He added that the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry sent a note of protest in this regard.

"We have immediately sent a note of protest demanding to cancel this provocation! We are sure that Hungary will continue to respect the territorial integrity of Ukraine," the Ukrainian minister stressed.
