President Petro Poroshenko wrote this on his Facebook page.
"Ukraine will host the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in the spring of 2020. For us, this is an extremely strong signal of solidarity and support of the countries of the Alliance for [Ukraine’s] fight for sovereignty and territorial integrity," Poroshenko stressed.
As earlier reported, the Standing Committee of the NATO PA satisfied Ukraine's request to host the spring session of the NATO PA in Kyiv in 2020.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg during the 63rd annual session of the NATO PA in Bucharest stated that Ukraine and Georgia "sooner or later" can become member states of NATO, but at present they should focus on reforms.
