Ukraine, India to deepen political dialogue

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin held talks with Foreign Minister of India Sushma Swaraj during the official visit to India on October 5-6.

The parties agreed on the need to significantly intensify the Ukrainian-Indian political dialogue, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reports.

"During the talks, the issues of bilateral relations and a wide range of global and regional problems were discussed. The parties agreed to significantly intensify the Ukrainian-Indian political dialogue and agreed on the need of making visits at the highest level in 2018. The parties also praised the remarkable revitalization of bilateral economic cooperation and establishment of official and business contacts in this field," the statement reads.

The agreements on holding the regular meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical, Industrial and Cultural Cooperation in Kyiv in November 2017 were confirmed.
