France and Germany support the idea of continuation of the law on special status for certain regions of Donetsk and Luhansk regions (ORDLO).

Ambassador of France to Ukraine Isabelle Dumont wrote this on her Twitter.

"France supports the Verkhovna Rada efforts to extend special status to enable peaceful resolution in Eastern #Ukraine," the statement reads.

The diplomatic mission of Germany in Ukraine also expressed its support for this law. "Germany supports the continuation of the law on a special status. There is no alternative to a diplomatic solution in eastern Ukraine," the German Embassy in Ukraine informed on Twitter.
