Ukraine, Qatar interested in enhancing mutual cooperation – Foreign Ministry

Ukraine and Qatar intend to intensify trade, economic and investment cooperation, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry’s press service has reported following an official visit of Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin to the State of Qatar on October 4.

“During the visit to the city of Doha, Foreign Minister Klimkin met with Prime-Minister, Minister of Internal Affairs of Qatar Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser Al Thani, Qatar Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani and State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Qatar Sultan Al-Mreikhi,” reads the report posted on the ministry’s website.

The parties stressed the importance of maintaining regular political dialogue between the two states, as well as mutual interest to enhance trade, economic and investment cooperation, and to deepen the existing potential of interaction in agricultural and energy spheres.

Also, Foreign Minister Klimkin expressed gratitude for the consistent position and consequent support of Qatar for Ukraine’s international initiatives aimed at protecting its sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity.
