Ukrainian foreign minister to visit India on Oct 5-6

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin will make an official visit to India on October 5-6, the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has reported.

"The main goal of the visit by the Ukrainian foreign minister to the Republic of India is to restore the practice of regular high-level contacts (the last visit at the ministerial level was made in 2011) between the two countries, in particular, to coordinate the algorithm of measures aimed at restoring the bilateral dialogue at the highest level in 2018," reads the report.

It notes that during his visit Klimkin is to hold talks with Indian Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj, as well as with other Indian high-ranking officials.

The sides are to discuss interaction as part of international organizations, bilateral cooperation and, in particular, preparations for the sixth meeting of the Ukrainian-Indian intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific, technical, industrial and cultural cooperation, which is scheduled for the beginning of November.
