Putin's regime continues to target and abuse Crimea's indigenous people.
Member of the federal Parliament of Canada from the ruling Liberal Party Borys Wrzesnewskyj wrote this on his Twitter page.
"Ukraine's Crimean Tatars need our support as Putin's regime continues to target and abuse Crimea's indigenous people. Crimea is Ukraine," Wrzesnewskyj wrote.
As reported, on September 11, a Russian-controlled court in the occupied Crimea sentenced Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Akhtem Chyigoz to 8 years in prison. Russian de-facto authorities of Crimea accused him of alleged plotting riots during a rally in support of the territorial integrity of Ukraine on February 26, 2014.
