IMF representative arrives in Kyiv

First Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), David Lipton, has arrived in Kyiv, the IMF Resident Representative Office in Ukraine reports.

As expected, the issue of further financing of Ukraine will be discussed during meetings with Ukrainian officials.

David Lipton will stay in Ukraine until Thursday.

In 2015, the IMF approved the allocation of $17.5 billion to Ukraine as part of a new program under Extended Fund Facility (EFF). Ukraine has already received more than half of this amount.
