Poroshenko predicts 'very interesting' talks with Pentagon leaders

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko will leave for the United States at the end of the week to attend the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly, as well as meet and negotiate with the U.S. leadership, in particular, Pentagon officials.

The head of state said this at a training session of the Ukrainian national team for participation in the Invictus Games, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"At the end of this week, I will leave for New York to attend the UN General Assembly meeting, where, among other things, I will raise the issue of peacekeepers in the Donbas. And immediately after talks with the United States leadership and the Department of Defense we will meet together in Toronto," Poroshenko said, while addressing representatives of the national team.

Poroshenko said that negotiations with U.S. military would be "very interesting," but he has not yet disclosed the details.

The 2017 Invictus Games will be held in Toronto, Canada, from September 23 to September 30.
