Sanctions against Russia to be lifted after implementation of Minsk accords – Merkel

German Chancellor Angela Merkel says that restrictive measures against Russia can be lifted only after implementation of the Minsk agreements.
She stated this on Tuesday at an annual press conference, an Ukrinform correspondent reports from Germany.
"The sanctions will be lifted when there is no reason for them," Merkel said.
She recalled that economic sanctions were related to the situation in the east of Ukraine, in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, when Ukraine did not have complete sovereignty over its own state border.
