Poltorak invites Hodges to take part in military parade on Independence Day of Ukraine

Defense Minister of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak has invited Commander of the U.S. Army in Europe Lieutenant General Frederick Benjamin Hodges to take part in the military parade on the occasion of the Independence Day of Ukraine, which will be held on August 24 in the center of Kyiv.
This was reported by the press service of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine.
Poltorak during a visit to Poland on August 15 held a meeting with Hodges.
"During the meeting, Stepan Poltorak invited the Commander of the U.S. Army in Europe to take part in the celebration of the 26th anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence and the military parade that will take place in Kyiv on August 24," the report said.
According to the press service, Defense Minister Poltorak congratulated Lieutenant General Frederick Ben Hodges on the award — the Order of Merit to Poland, handed by the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda.
