Kyiv Economic Court of Appeal issued a ruling that returns the estate Mezhyhirya, which was owned by Ukraine’s former president, Viktor Yanukovych, to state ownership.

Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko posted this on his Facebook page.

"Kyiv Economic Court of Appeal, following a motion submitted by Kyiv Prosecutor's Office, ruled on August 1 to invalidate the agreements under which the government residence Mezhyhirya was taken from state property in 2007," he wrote.

According to Lutsenko, the Public Prosecutor's Office intends to bring former president Viktor Yanukovych and former ecology minister Eduard Stavitsky to responsibility for the illegal alienation of the government estate.
