A number of Ukrainians detained by militants in Donbas has increased to 137 in recent days due to civilians crossing the line of contact.

Yuriy Tandit, an advisor to the Ukrainian Security Service's (SBU) head, said this on 112 Ukraine TV channel.

"As of today, 137 citizens of Ukraine are hostages in Donbas. Unfortunately, this number has increased in recent days due to the fact that the terrorists from the ORDLO (uncontrolled regions of Donetsk and Luhansk regions ), who detained our citizens, keep them illegally, accuse civilians of crimes they did not commit. Moreover, this number grew due to the fact that people who did not carry weapons were detained, they were not on the contact line, they just crossed the line," Tandit said.
