Finance Minister Danyliuk to meet with Italy’s Finance Minister

Ukraine’s Finance Minister Oleksandr Danyliuk will pay a working visit to the Italian Republic on July 24-25, 2017, the government’s press service reports. 

"Finance Minister Oleksandr Danyliuk will pay a working visit to the Italian Republic on July 24-25. The program of the visit includes meetings with Minister of Finance and Economy of Italy Pierre Carlo Padoan, General Commander of the Financial Guard Giorgio Toschi, Director of the Tax Revenue Agency Rossella Orlandi, and Director General of the Customs Agency Giuseppe Peleggi,” reads the report.

During the visit Minister Danyliuk will familiarize with the aspects of the work of the Financial Guard of Italy, which is an Italian law enforcement agency under the authority of the Minister of Economy and Finance and is essentially responsible for dealing with financial crime and smuggling. Also, the issues pertaining to the functioning of the Italian tax system and the customs will be discussed.

The visit was scheduled due to the launch of activities on the establishment of Financial Investigations Service that is a similar body aimed to investigate economic crimes against the state under the authority of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.
