President of Ukraine, chairman of Georgian parliament agree to intensify interparliamentary interaction

In the framework of the state visit to Georgia, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko met with Chairman of the Georgian Parliament Irakli Kobakhidze.

This has been reported by the press service of the Head of State.

The parties noted the importance of deepening interparliamentary cooperation and discussed the intensification of dialogue between the interparliamentary groups of friendship in the supreme legislative bodies of the two states.

They also agreed to increase coordination within the international and regional organizations, particularly taking into account current presidency of the two countries within the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation and the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development - GUAM.

Poroshenko expressed gratitude for the consistent and firm support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
