Ukraine’s priority task is to reform security and defense field – Poroshenko

The priority task of Ukraine at the current stage of cooperation with NATO is reforming and strengthening of the country's defense capability.
President Petro Poroshenko said this at a meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"Reforming and strengthening of the country's defense capability are priority tasks for our interaction with NATO at the current stage," the president underlined.
Poroshenko has said that now Ukraine has an "ambitious program for reforming the defense and security field," which was developed with the participation of our partners from NATO.
The president has stressed that the purpose of these reforms is to achieve compliance with the criteria for membership in the Alliance.
