Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin has met in the Vatican with Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Secretary of State of His Holiness The Pope. During the meeting, the parties discussed the situation in Ukraine.

"On June 27, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin met with Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Secretary of State of His Holiness Pope Francis in the Vatican to discuss the current situation in Ukraine and a wide range of humanitarian issues," the statement reads.

The Minister thanked Pietro Parolin for the humanitarian initiative "The Pope for Ukraine" and the Ukrainian national pilgrimage to the Vatican, which was held on Sunday, June 25.
