Putin, Macron not discuss release of Ukrainian political prisoners – Peskov

The issue of release of Ukrainian political prisoners was not discussed at the talks between President of Russia Vladimir Putin and President of France Emmanuel Macron in Paris yesterday.
Press Secretary for the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said this answering the question whether the fate of Ukrainian journalist Roman Sushchenko and other illegally imprisoned Ukrainians in Russia was discussed at the meeting in Paris, UNIAN reports.
"Specific issues were not raised. The parties discussed the settlement of the Ukrainian situation as a whole, the need to intensify the settlement process and to assess the reasons for the current situation and to see together whether it is possible to do anything to get things moving," Peskov said.
