The Ukrainian side has invited the US Congressmen who arrived in Kyiv to visit Donbas and see with their own eyes the consequences of Russian military aggression.

First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Iryna Gerashchenko wrote this on Facebook.

"I took part in the meeting of the President of Ukraine with the delegation of the US Congress ... We invited our American partners to visit Donbas to see with their own eyes the consequences of Russian military aggression," she wrote.

According to Gerashchenko, the parties discussed the security issues during the meeting, including the situation in Donbas in the context of Russian military aggression, the continuation of sanctions against the Russian Federation until the full implementation of the Minsk agreements, the human rights situation in annexed Crimea, where everything belonging to Ukrainians and Crimean Tatar people is destroyed.

In addition, she said that the President paid special attention to the hostage issue and urged the Congressmen to increase pressure on the Russian Federation to solve humanitarian problems, in particular, the release of hostages.
