The Ukrainian president stated this during his speech at the conference “The battle for Ukraine: leadership and solidarity” held in Chatham House, the Royal Institute of International Affairs, in London, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
“Moscow is not just rejecting the world order. It is trying to build an alternative reality based on alternative values: tyranny instead of democracy. Intolerance instead of respect,” he said.
President Poroshenko stressed that Russia violated the Budapest memorandum, of which the United Kingdom is also the party. Also, Russia violated all bilateral agreements, in which Moscow recognized and guaranteed Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
“Russia doesn't believe in things like democracy and human rights. It believes in things like ‘world domination’ and ’zones of influence’. It doesn't play by the rules,” he stressed.
