Senate of Netherlands may hold debates on EU-Ukraine Association Agreement in May

The Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Senate, the upper chamber of the Dutch parliament, has offered the Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs that plenary debates be conducted on May 23 to consider a bill on the ratification of the Association Agreement between the European Union and Ukraine, according to a report on the website of the Senate.
Also, it is noted that if such a date is not supported, the debates could be held on June 6.
As earlier reported, the House of Representatives, the lower house of the Dutch parliament, upheld a bill on the ratification of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement.
To complete the ratification process, the document should be approved by both houses of the Dutch parliament.
