Reprisals and persecution in occupied Crimea to be discussed at number of meetings in London

"March 10, Chatham House, the Royal Institute of International Affairs in London will host the panel discussion "Annexed Crimea: Crimean Tatars and their Struggle for Freedom." We will talk about the life of Ukrainian citizens under the conditions of Russian occupation, as well as about the role and pressure on the indigenous people of Crimea," she wrote.

Dzhaparova noted that the event would be held jointly with the Estonian Institute for Human Rights within the framework of the Strategy for Public Diplomacy of the Crimean Tatars.

It is expected that the event will be attended by a large number of representatives of leading British and European media outlets.

On the same day, the round table devoted to Crimea will be held at another platform. "Together with Oliver Loode and Eskender Bariiev we will talk about all the main cases and instruments of political reprisals with the dissent in the occupied Crimea," First Deputy Information Policy Minister of Ukraine noted.

In addition, a number of meetings has been organized in the UK, in particular, with the leadership of the Westminster Foundation for Democracy, Director of the Human Rights and Democracy Department of the Foreign Office Rob Fenn, representatives of the diplomatic corps, and others.
