The facts of discrimination by Russia of the Crimean Tatars and the Ukrainian people in Crimea have been documented by authoritative human rights organizations.

Ukraine’s representative in the UN International Court of Justice Harold Hongju Koh said this during a speech at the hearing in The Hague.

"By promoting ethnic Russian domination, Russia aims to discriminate against non-Russian population, in particular the Crimean Tatars and the ethnic Ukrainian population. These facts have been well-documented by authoritative human rights organizations," he said.

According to him, the UN condemned discrimination in the occupied Crimea a few months ago.
