U.S. delegation to United Nations calls on Russia to ensure ceasefire in Donbas

The United States insists on the need for full implementation of the Minsk agreements and calls on Russia and Russian-backed separatists to ensure ceasefire in eastern Ukraine.
Christopher Klein, the Political Minister Counselor of the U.S. Mission to the United Nations, said this at the UN Security Council meeting on Tuesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"We continue to support the Minsk agreements and their full implementation as the best way to settle the conflict in eastern Ukraine," Klein said.
The U.S. Political Minister Counselor also called on Russian and Russian-backed separatists to "immediately start to adhere to the ceasefire, withdraw all heavy weapons, and ensure full and unhindered access of OSCE monitors."
