Mogherini, Lavrov discuss situation in Donbas - Russian Foreign Ministry

High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission Federica Mogherini and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov discussed by phone the escalation of the conflict in Donbas.
This has been reported by the Russian Foreign Ministry.
"During the conversation the officials discussed the situation in Libya, issues related to the Syrian settlement, the aggravation of the situation in Ukraine and the developments in the Balkans," reads a statement.
The parties agreed to meet on the sidelines of one of the forthcoming multilateral events for a more detailed discussion of possible interaction on international and regional issues, and the general state of affairs between Russia and the European Union.
