Agreement with EU on "open skies" can be unblocked in near future - Foreign Ministry

Ukrinform
The Ukrainian Government hopes that the signing of the Common Aviation Area Agreements (CAA) (so-called "open skies") will be unblocked in the near future.

Deputy Foreign Minister for European Integration Olena Zerkal said this in an interview with Yevropeiska Pravda portal.

"I hope that we will finally conclude the so-called agreement on "open skies," she said, speaking about the plans for 2017.

Zerkal said that Kyiv "has reasons to be optimistic."

As we know, the signing of the Common Aviation Area Agreements has been blocked since the end of 2013 because of a dispute between Britain and Spain regarding Gibraltar airport status.
