President Poroshenko signs law that reduces retirement age for ATO participants

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has signed the law on amendments to some laws of Ukraine on the provision of pensions for certain categories of people from participants of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO), the president’s press service reports.

In particular, the document amends the law on compulsory state pension insurance. It provides the right to appoint the retirement pension upon reaching 55 years of age for men and 50-55 years of age for women - the military personnel who were directly involved in the ATO in the area of conduct of this operation and if they have at least 25 years of pensionable service for men and at least 20 years for women.
