The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry is outraged by the statement made by Marine Le Pen, the National Front's presidential candidate, that the annexation of Crimea was not illegal.
This has been said in a statement by the Foreign Ministry on Facebook.
"Ukraine's Foreign Ministry expresses its indignation at the fact that Marine Le Pen, the National Front's presidential candidate, stated that the annexation of the Ukrainian peninsula of Crimea by Russia was "not illegal"," the Foreign Ministry said.
The Ministry recalled that annexation had been condemned by all civilized countries of the world, and France together with other partners in the Group of Seven and the European Union imposed sanctions against Russia.
