Ukrainian President, Italian Prime Minister agree on actions to ensure fulfillment of Minsk agreements

The Head of State congratulated Paolo Gentiloni on having been appointed to the post of Prime Minister of Italy and expressed hope for the enhancement of fruitful cooperation both in bilateral format and within the international structures.

This has been reported by the press service of the Head of State.

Petro Poroshenko stressed the importance of continuation of strong support for Ukraine in the issues of restoration of territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as the implementation of important reforms in the course of the forthcoming presidency of Italy in G7 during 2017.

The parties agreed on closer coordination of actions to ensure the fulfillment of the Minsk agreements and de-occupation of Crimea.

Paolo Gentiloni praised the initiatives of Petro Poroshenko on the necessity of declaring sustainable and long-term ceasefire in Donbas starting from December 24, as well as the immediate liberation of all hostages.
