Foreign Minister Klimkin: Ukraine plans to extend sanction list against Russia

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin states Ukraine starts preparations for extending a sanction list against Russian individuals involved in politically motivated cases against Ukrainian citizens, BBC Ukraine reports.

“We will try to adapt this list as we receive clear information about who are involved in the processes against our political prisoners. We need real evidence in order to include a person on the sanction list,” Klimkin said.

He also stressed that the Foreign Ministry verifies information about the Ukrainian prisoners from their relatives, but as well as international human rights organizations and lawyers.
