Ukraine and Canada will intensify their cooperation in police training reform next year.

Interior Minister of Ukraine Arsen Avakov said this following the talks with Public Safety Minister of Canada Ralph Goodale in Ottawa, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"We discussed cooperation between Ukraine and Canada in recent years, as well as issues of continuing cooperation in 2017-2018 regarding police training reform, which we want to focus on," Avakov said.

He added that Ukraine was very interested in the innovative approaches to police training in Canada.

"We have virtually endorsed the concept of training of police forces. It will be a three-tier system, which involves the interaction with Canadians," the Ukrainian Minister said.
