Draft 2017 budget: Financing of program on counteraction to HIV/AIDS to be increased by UAH 2 bln

The draft national budget for 2017 envisages a significant increase in financing of the state program of counteraction to HIV/AIDS, the Health Ministry’s press service reports.
“This year for the first time the state has increased the budget for the healthcare by UAH 2 billion. After the Verkhovna Rada approves the national budget for 2017, the financing of the program of counteraction to HIV epidemic will be increased by 132%,” reads a report.
The financing is foreseen within the National Targeted Social Program of Counteraction to HIV/AIDS in 2014-2018, which was approved by the Law of Ukraine as of October 20, 2014.
