This agreement has been achieved during a meeting of Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman and Prime Minister of the French Republic Manuel Valls in Paris, the government’s press service reports.
“The sides agreed to step up the trade and economic cooperation between the countries, in particular to renew the work of the Ukrainian-French joint intergovernmental commission in 2017, as well as the work of relative special groups,” reads the report.
“At present there is a rise in our international trade by 25%. But I believe that we have huge opportunities for our cooperation in the energy sector, aircraft construction, agrarian sector and education. This is very beneficial for the two economies of Ukraine and France,” Prime Minister Groysman stated, when commenting on the results of the meeting.
He also recalled that the French-Ukrainian Business Forum will be launched on October 28, during which the issue of raising efficiency of cooperation between the countries will be discussed.
Also, Prime Minister Groysman informed his counterpart on the process of reforms being carried out in Ukraine and on the situation in Donbas. Volodymyr Groysman stressed that there is no alternative to the Minsk Agreements.
