Polish Foreign Ministry: Sanctions against Russia should be extended, perhaps, even strengthened

The economic sanctions against Russia should be kept, and, perhaps, even strengthened.

Deputy Foreign Minister of Poland Konrad Szymanski said this in Warsaw before flying for the EU summit in Brussels, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Of course, I have listened with interest to the opinions of Chancellor Merkel and President Hollande on the issue [the Normandy Four talks in Berlin]. I do not think it will be the information that would give rise to a change in sanctions policy. On the contrary, today we have every reason to say that the policy of the EU sanctions against Russia should be strengthened," Szymanski said.

The Deputy Foreign Minister of Poland noted that the number of countries, which are skeptical about the policy of sanctions against Russia, had not changed for a long time. According to him, he understands the logic of the countries that are not located in close proximity to Russia.
