Ukrainian Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Ivanna Klympush-Tsyntsadze discussed with the PACE Monitoring Committee delegation the impossibility of holding elections in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

This is reported by the press service of the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine.

"This part of the Minsk agreements currently cannot be performed due to the security situation. Even the OSCE mission cannot get access to certain areas in eastern Ukraine, so how can the Ukrainian Government hold elections there?!" the Vice Prime Minister wondered.

The interlocutors also discussed granting Ukraine visa-free regime with the EU. Klympush-Tsyntsadze emphasized that Ukraine had fully implemented the action plan on visa liberalization and stressed that Ukraine had demonstrated that migration was not a threat to the EU, despite the Russian aggression.
