Poland does not recognize the results of the elections to the Russian State Duma held on the territory of Crimea, the Foreign Ministry of Poland said.

"Ministry of Foreign Affairs doesn't recognize the outcome of the parliamentary elections to Russian State Duma conducted at the territory of the Crimean Peninsula, which legally belongs to Ukraine," reads a statement posted on the website of the Polish Foreign Ministry, Interfax reported.

According to this statement, Poland, as well as the international society, condemned illegal annexation of Crimea by Russia in March 2014 – that position was confirmed by the resolution of the United Nations' Parliamentary Assembly of March 27, 2014.
