Poroshenko to discuss Normandy format with European ministers

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko will meet with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier and French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault on Wednesday.
The parties plan to discuss the prospects for resumption of full-fledged operation of the Normandy format and development of the agreements reached on the basis of the tripartite telephone conversation held on September 9, the press service of the Head of State reports.
"The measures of exerting pressure on Russia will be coordinated to ensure compliance of the Russian side with the security aspect of the Minsk agreements," the statement reads.
Particular attention will be paid to progress in release of Ukrainian captives, held in the territory of Donbas, and Ukrainian political prisoners illegally held in the territory of Russia.
