Ukraine to file lawsuit against Russia with UN tribunal

Ukraine will file a lawsuit against the Russian Federation with the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea regarding the violation of the relevant convention by Russia already this week.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said this on their air of ICTV Ukrainian TV channel on Monday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"The first major lawsuit regarding UN Convention on the Law of the Sea will be filed this week. It is comprehensive as it includes such fundamental issues as the use of maritime space, violation of environmental safety, as well as objects of cultural heritage," the Minister said.
Klimkin noted that Ukraine would accuse Russia of violating key international conventions.
