Ukrainian Foreign Minister: ‘Normandy format’ is opportunity to make Russia comply with Minsk

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin has described the "Normandy format" as an opportunity to make a roadmap for implementation of the Minsk agreements.

The Minister stated this in an interview to the Echo of Moscow media outlet.

"What do we have to continue facilitating implementation of the Minsk agreements? ‘Normandy format’ has been existing lately. If I am not mistaken, there have been just 11 or 12 ministerial meetings. Therefore, the ‘Normandy format’ is the opportunity to create, I hope, the roadmap for implementation of Minsk agreements. It is also the possibility not to allow Russia to continue moving away from implementation through establishing the action sequences and the guarantees for each action. In my opinion, this is really the way which can and should lead to success of the Minsk agreements," Klimkin said.
