Ukraine's Foreign Ministry not confirms appointment of new Russian ambassador

The appointment of a new Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Ukraine has been removed from the agenda of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine.
Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Olena Zerkal said this on the air of a Ukrainian TV channel, LB.ua reports.
She noted that the appointment of new Russian ambassador Mikhail Babich had been removed on the initiative of Ukraine. According to her, the absence of the ambassador will not affect the bilateral relations between the states.
"This issue has been removed from the agenda," Zerkal said.
