VR renames Kirovohrad to Kropyvnytsky

Ukrainian lawmakers have approved a draft resolution number 4222 to rename Kirovohrad to comply with the Law On conviction of Communist and National Socialist totalitarian regimes in Ukraine and the prohibition of it symbols propaganda, Ukrinform has reported.
The legislation was passed by 238 votes.
According to the legislation the city name has been changed from Kirovohrad to Kropyvnytsky.
