The Verkhovna Rada Speaker Andriy Parubiy has closed the session of parliament on Friday because the Batkivshchyna and Radical Party groups MPs have been blocking the presidium and rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada.
Ukrinform reports Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman and members of the Cabinet were present at the morning session of the legislature. Parubiy was forced to make a statement next to the rostrum by using a microphone.
"Today, unfortunately, because of the inability of holding the session in the conditions created by some of our colleagues, the session can’t be held any longer. So the morning session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is declared to be closed. We will continue to work at 10.00 on Tuesday, July 12."
Speaker said that parliament will continue to demonstrate its effectiveness.
