Poroshenko, Ayvazovska discuss results of Contact Group meeting

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has held a meeting with Olha Ayvazovska, Ukraine’s representative in the political subgroup of the Trilateral Contact Group, the chairperson of Civil Network OPORA, the president’s press service reports.
“The sides discussed the results of a meeting of the political subgroup of the Trilateral Contact Group, which was held in Minsk the day before. Olha Ayvazovska informed the President on problem issues and proposals on the elections in certain areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The President noted the importance of fulfillment of all security components of the Minsk agreements by the Russian side,” reads the report.
President Poroshenko also informed on the start of discussions in the context of possible deployment of the OSCE armed police mission in Donbas.
In addition, the sides discussed strategic approaches to the settlement of the situation in Donbas and the restoration of Ukrainian sovereignty over the entire territory.
