Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has offered to decentralize 30% of governmental functions.

The premier stated this when presenting a plan of priority tasks of the government for 2016, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“There should be certain decentralization when it comes to the adoption of decisions by the government. We should refuse from the functions that are not peculiar to the governmental. We need to transfer them to the local government, to the ministries. We want to hand over at least 30% of the functions to the level lower than the level of the Cabinet of Ministers,” Groysman said.

In addition, the Ukrainian premier stressed that the ministries should be responsible for their own policies and be able to make efficient decisions
