Rada renamed 223 residential areas in Ukraine

The Vekrhovna Rada legislators have adopted a resolution to rename 223 residential areas to comply with the law on decommunisation, Ukrinform reports.

 The vote was supported by 265 MPs.

The legislation passed by Parliament approves the renaming of 223 residential areas and administrative districts, particularly in Vinnytsia, Volyn, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Luhansk, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Poltava, Rivne, Kharkiv, Kherson, Cherkasy, Chernivtsi and Chernihiv Regions.
