Ukrainian MPs back bill to abolish state registration of foreign investments

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has approved as a basis bill No.2763 "On amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine concerning the abolition of obligatory state registration of foreign investments".

Some 261 MPs supported the draft law at a parliament’s sitting on Tuesday, May 10, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to an explanatory note, the draft law is aimed at creating favorable conditions for the attraction of investments via to the simplified procedures for the attraction of financing.

The document envisages the cancelation of a range of articles of legislative acts regarding the obligatory state registration of investments.
